TIANMEN MOUNTAIN AND TIANMEN CAVE

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park consists of mainly two factors, Wulingyuan and Tianmen Mountain.

Tianmen Mountain and Tianmen Cave are a strong landmark of Zhangjiajie.
Tianmen, Heaven’s Gate in English, is absolutely one of the most representative natural scenario.

Tianmen Mountain is a very famous mountain, its altitude is 1518.60 meter, actually the first recorded in the history of Zhangjiajie. Tianmen is located only 8 km from down town. The main body of the Mountain is uniquely skyscraping and domineering.

Tianmen Cave, the natural mountain penetration karst cave with the highest elevation in the world, hangs on the towering cliff.

ZHANGJIAJIE
Zhangjiajie as a place, from beginning was just a small not very much famous county, named Dayong why there are still many streets or restaurants has their names with the word Dayong, even the airport. First later for several years ago, the county got its name Zhangjiajie from today’s world-famous National Forest Park Zhangjiajie and is a city name now.
